ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC, I'm in love. Your vibe in this game is immaculate, the art is beautiful. I really love the concept too, I'm not a huge platformer person and I'd totally play this. The opening cutscene is really cool too and has me hooked.
I loved the music and sound too, but I had to go in and turn it on. You may have exported with all the audio off. (I would have done this, hearing the same tune over and over drives me nuts)
I'm on Windows 11. I noticed the game ran under my task bar, not sure why. It's probably something cooked with Godot's full screen settings. I couldn't read the controls at the bottom of the screen because of this. (It looks like E makes the ball sparkle but I'm not sure what that does.)
I felt like getting the green and red markers to come up was a little inconsistent, and the speed the platforms came up was inconsistent as well. I can speed run the first row of platforms but I can't take the first turn at full tilt. If you can fine tune that this would be a rad game for speed running and streaming.
I'm real curious what the books do, I couldn't work it out. I tried using one as a ramp, but I didn't have the skills.
Oh wow, thanks so much for your kind words and feedback!!
I believe I did export with the audio off. That will be fixed in the next update! You're also right about the green / red indicators. That is an issue that was reported to me from another user and I also plan to fix that in the next update.
Interesting about the game running behind the task bar, I'll also take a look at that. I'm on Mac only so testing on Windows has been a chore.
The books do... nothing 😅 I just thought they were fun to push around and also a bit of an obstacle in some cases, but I would like them to play a roll in the future. Any suggestions on how that could be done?
Once again, really appreciate your comment! Stay tuned for future updates! I'll be adding more chapters, and eventually a finished opening cutscene!
Hey! Looks really neat - unfortunately I unzipped, drilled down to the Windows folder, ran the Exe, saw your splash screen, and it has been hung on a Gray screen for over ten minutes. I see in the Readme mention of a longer-than-normal load on first launch, but somehow something doesn't seem right... 😅
I'm on a Windows 10 PC with an RTX 3070. Any ideas?
Also, for filesize reasons, I'd recommend separating the Mac and Windows downloads into their own Zips upon Itchio upload!
Ohhh damn... That's very strange but really good to know. That PC should have no problem running the game.
I just uploaded a new version of the game (v0.2), and also upgraded my version of Godot so maybe that will help? I tested it on an Intel i5-8500T with an integrated graphics chip. Ran like crap but it did load. Would love to hear if you get this version to load!
Still going to keep looking into this. Appreciate your comment!
